How to Download Videos & Media Online
A simple guide to using NetSaves to process publicly accessible videos, Reels, posts and media from supported platforms.
How NetSaves Works
NetSaves is built around a simple URL-based workflow. You do not need to search through complicated settings or choose a video quality that may not actually exist for the original post.
Start with the public URL of the video, post, Reel, image or other supported media. NetSaves sends the URL to the appropriate processing service and displays the media that can actually be returned for that link.
One URL. One Simple Workflow.
Copy the link, paste it into the correct NetSaves downloader, process it, then review the available media returned for that specific URL.
No Artificial Quality Choices
Available resolution, format and file size depend on the media returned for the submitted URL. NetSaves does not promise a quality that the source does not provide.
The 4 Basic Steps
Most NetSaves downloaders follow the same basic process.
Copy the URL
Open the platform and copy the link to the public post or media you want to process.
Choose NetSaves
Open the NetSaves downloader designed for the platform containing your media.
Get Media
Paste the URL and select the processing button to check what media is available.
Open the Result
Review the returned media and use the available button to open the file.
Choose a Platform
Select the downloader that matches the platform where your media is published. Each page has its own URL validation and result handling.

The exact location of the share or copy-link control differs between platforms, but the basic process is similar.
On a phone
- Open the platform's mobile app or website.
- Open the video, Reel, post or media you want to process.
- Open the platform's Share menu.
- Choose the option for copying the link.
- Return to the appropriate NetSaves downloader.
- Paste the copied URL.
On a computer
- Open the public post or video in your browser.
- Copy the page URL from the browser address bar, when supported.
- Open the matching NetSaves downloader.
- Paste the URL into the downloader.
How to Download on Android or iPhone
NetSaves is designed around a browser-based workflow, so you can use the downloader from a modern mobile browser without installing a separate downloader application.
- Open your social or media platform.
- Copy the URL of the public content.
- Open the matching NetSaves downloader in your browser.
- Paste the URL.
- Tap Get Media.
- Wait for the available media to appear.
- Preview the returned media when supported.
- Tap the available download or open button.
Your browser may handle the returned file differently depending on the operating system, browser and media type. Some browsers open a media file first, while others may offer a save or download option.
How Video Quality and Formats Work
NetSaves does not assume that every video has the same available resolutions or formats. The result depends on what the connected processing service can actually retrieve from the submitted URL.
| Result information | What it means |
|---|---|
| Resolution | The video dimensions or returned quality when supplied by the source. |
| Format | The file extension or media format returned for the item. |
| File size | The size supplied by the returned media information when available. |
| Preview | A browser preview when the returned media can be displayed directly. |
| Download Media | Opens the actual returned media URL in a new browser tab. |
Each platform delivers content differently. NetSaves therefore uses the media returned for the specific URL instead of displaying artificial quality buttons that may not correspond to an available file.
What Does “Public Content” Mean?
NetSaves is designed for URLs that can be accessed publicly without entering an account password or bypassing a private-content restriction.
Public availability does not necessarily mean that every piece of media can be extracted. Platforms can use different delivery systems, restrictions and media protections.
- Public posts may sometimes be processed.
- Private posts are not intended to be processed.
- Login-required content may not be available.
- Deleted content cannot be retrieved.
- Restricted media may return no downloadable result.
- A valid URL does not guarantee a successful media result.
What to Do When a Download Does Not Work
A failed result does not always mean the URL is invalid. The platform, post visibility, media type or current extraction support can affect the result.
1. Check the URL
Make sure you copied the actual post, video, Reel, Pin or media URL rather than a profile page or platform homepage.
2. Check whether the content is public
If the content requires an account, login or special permission to view, the downloader may not be able to process it.
3. Try copying the link again
Some platforms use redirect or shortened links. Copying the URL directly from the post again can provide a cleaner link.
4. Try another public post
If one URL fails, another public post from the same platform may produce a different result. Media availability is determined per URL.
5. Check your browser
Use an up-to-date browser and make sure JavaScript is enabled. A content blocker or browser restriction can also interfere with some browser-based functionality.
Download Responsibly
A technical ability to access a media file does not automatically grant permission to reproduce, publish, sell or redistribute that content.
Before using downloaded media outside your personal access or viewing workflow, consider the rights attached to the content and the rules that apply to its use.
- Respect the original creator's rights.
- Do not use downloaded content to impersonate another person.
- Do not remove attribution where attribution is required.
- Check licenses before commercial or public reuse.
- Respect privacy and platform rules.
- Do not use NetSaves to access private or restricted content.
